Sukhwant Bal’s professional life began with a deep desire to work in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist. After a PhD in Psychology and some twists and turns, he ended up working as a Business Psychologist in 1988 and worked in consultancy ever since. Prior to joining AIMS International UK, Sukhwant worked as a Corporate Psychologist with Hoggett Bowers, PA Consulting and Kiddy & Partners specialising in leadership development and senior level coaching and assessment. Areas of expertise include attracting, retaining and developing the right people to grow the business.

He has worked as a Business Psychologist for 30 years and over that time he has written 10 leadership handbooks and developed over 20 tools to make the psychology of leadership simple and accessible. His first book “The Interactive Manager” was published by Kogan Page in 1995. Since then he has written several leadership handbooks, his most recent being: The Power To Inspire High Performance.

His main passion and area of expertise is delivering highly impactful leadership programmes. He has worked with some amazing clients in the UK, Europe, US and Asia. What defines his work is bringing powerful leadership and coaching tools to workshops which make positive psychology and leadership practical, tangible and real. During the past 18 years he has supported over 100 organisations including many FTSE 100 companies.
